libtext-patch-perl software package provides module for patching text with a given patch, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtext-patch-perl
libtext-patch-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtext-patch-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtext-patch-perl *
You will get with libtext-patch-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
